The Radlett Whisky Club recently held its annual charity day to raise much needed funds for The Oli Leigh Trust, a suicide prevention and mental wellbeing charity.
The club members have monthly gatherings where they can try a variety of different whisky that you wouldn’t normally find in the supermarkets.
The group held a rum tasting day to raise funds for The Oli Leigh Trust, raising a total of £5,640.
The event, held at the end of July, was well attended and the global ambassador for Black Tot, Mitch Wilson attended and took guests through the deconstruction of their best-selling rum, with tastings from all over the Caribbean. Black Tot is a multi-layered brand of rum from Guyana, Barbados, and Jamaica.
Phil Lyons, organiser of the event, said: “I am extremely proud of our group and the money we managed to raise. We were hoping to raise half the amount we did.”
The group is looking for more attendees, if you would like to join contact radlettwhisky@gmail.com. To find out more, visit www.theolileightrust.org
