A campaigner in Pinner has announced that she will be standing as an independent councillor.
Niamh McEnery, a lifelong Pinner resident, has been campaigning for a number of years in the village after she started a petition calling on Harrow Council to improve the playground in Pinner Memorial Park in 2011
She said: “Pinner has changed a lot and I have seen a lot of amazing things happen. I have a young family so perhaps I see things from a different perspective than some of the other councillors. I don’t believe local ward politics should come down to party. I want to work with local residents to hear their voice and prioritise what they want. I hope to be able to do something good.”
Niamh said her priorities include protecting public services and improving facilities for the area , supporting local police, protecting green spaces , backing local schools and supporting local businesses.
