The cinema experience at Watersmeet in Rickmansworth has gone from strength to strength after a new CinePro electric roller screen has been installed enabling films to be screened in a larger format.
This combined with the current Dolby 5.1 surround sound system ensures all films now shown at Watersmeet boast great image quality and crystal-clear sound.
The screen cost a total of £30,000 and took three days to install.
The equipment was jointly funded by the Friends of Watersmeet Film Society and they raised the funds over several years by hosting a wide variety of events to purchase the screen.
Cllr Chris Lloyd, lead member for leisure, thanked The Friends of Watersmeet Film Society saying that without their support the purchase of the new widescreen would not have been possible.
Watersmeet have just finalised the next three months of film screenings and will be showing blockbusters and award-winning films including 1917, Little Women and No Time to Die.
