NEW DEVELOPMENT: Work begins on former West Herts College grounds

Published on: 11th September 2019   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Work has begun on the former West Herts College Dacorum campus grounds to create a new riverside apartments development on the former West Herts College Dacorum campus in Hemel Hempstead.

Bellway North London is building 110 one and two-bedroom apartments at The Foundry, off Dacorum Way, with the first plots set to be released for sale in Summer 2020.

Plans for the site include a seven-storey apartment building with gated grounds and allocated parking, as well as attractive open space for residents by the River Gade.

The development of the site for residential use is helping to fund the second phase of extension and investment at West Herts College, while also providing new housing in an area of Hemel Hempstead which is seeing significant regeneration.

Director of Sales and Marketing for Bellway North London, Greg Allsop, said: “Work has now started on site at The Foundry, following our purchase of the land and the approval of our detailed plans for the site by Dacorum Borough Council.

“We’re proud to be playing a key role in the regeneration of this landmark site for Hemel Hempstead, as well as delivering much-needed new homes for the local community.

“We’ll be selling the first plots off-plan from Summer 2020, with a sales centre and show apartment due to open on site late next year. We are expecting a great deal of interest, given the development’s convenient location close to the town centre.

“In the meantime, I’d advise anyone hoping to find a new home at The Foundry to register their interest on our website, so we can keep them updated with the latest information about the development launch when it becomes available.”

More information about the new homes coming soon at The Foundry is available at bellway.co.uk
