It’s showtime in Croxley as an independent musical theatre group are set to perform their showcase of the year.
Inspired by her “favourite memories being backstage at shows and building friendship”, Georgia Inett set up Act2Act with her mum’s help.
Training each week at Croxley Scout Hub, Act2Act gives children the opportunity to perform a professional show in a theatre.
In April, the company are putting together Little Shop of Horrors which will be shown at the Pump House Theatre from Thursday, April 3 to Saturday, April 5.
Speaking to CROXLEYnews, Georgia said: “We are ready for the show now. It feels like a really long time to rehearse but it is an amazing set.
“The children are ready now, full of nerves and adrenaline.”
Act2Act are also attempting the challenging feat of putting on a show in five days during the February half term.
From Monday, February 17, to Friday, February 21, children will be partaking in “a week of musical madness” and performing Annie Jr, a slightly shorter version of the Tony Award-winning show.
Georgia said: “I wanted to create [Act2Act] for young teenagers and children who want to explore more musical theatre.
“It is amazing to see the children build confidence, friendships, and their self-esteem.”
For those who looking to get involved, the company are currently auditioning for their 2026 show, Legally Blonde.
The audition day is free and will take place on Saturday, May 3.
