Local councillors visited a thriving community club in Croxley to see its success first-hand.
The Getting Together Club provides a welcoming space for local people to socialise, make new friends and enjoy a range of activities.
Its success story led councillors Narinder Sian, Cheryl Stungo and Chris Mitchell to visit the club on Thursday, October 2, to meet members and see the positive impact of the community initiative run by Watford & Three Rivers Trust (W3RT).
The club meets at the Croxley Green Community Club from 11am to 2pm on Thursdays and there is also a sequence dancing session from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Mondays at All Saints’ Church.
The first two sessions are free, making it easy for newcomers to join.
Cllr Sian said: “It was wonderful to visit the club and see the energy and friendship in the room.
“These clubs are vital in helping people connect, combat loneliness, and enjoy themselves in a safe, welcoming environment. I’m thrilled that W3RT is creating such a valuable space for our community.”
