NATURE LOVERS: Another chance to tiptoe through the bluebells in Chorleywood

Published on: 9th May 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

The organisers of a Bluebell Walk are delighted to have raised £4000 for charity, twice what they expected, and to have permission for a similar event in 2022.

The owner of a private wood just outside Chorleywood allowed Mission EmployAble to create a path through the bluebells and a woodland café, on May 2 and 3.

More than 400 visitors enjoyed the stunning bluebells, which one visitor described as ‘quite magical, the privilege of a new place to explore and a fun pop-up café.’

Mission EmployAble founder and chair Katharine Weston thanked the many visitors and volunteers who made the fund-raising event a success.

She said: “It could not have gone better.

“There was a friendly, positive buzz, with lots of people showing interest in the charity.”

Mission EmployAble said that because no litter was dropped nor any bluebells crushed underfoot, the owner has offered the wood for another Bluebell Walk in 2022.
