Taking in the crisp, cold wintry air, the Countryside and Rights of Way (CRW) Service joined in with the Friends of Chorleywood House Estate group recently, to enjoy and care for the natural beauty that Carpenter’s Wood in Chorleywood had to offer.
With hands at the ready for all the action, the team spent the day working in the chilly sunshine, laying hedges along the bridleway and pushing back some of the dense bramble undergrowth.
This work helps create space for a wider range of plant and wildlife species to thrive.
The session also supported ongoing efforts to protect and maintain the woodland, ensuring it remains accessible and welcoming to the community throughout the year.
