An Apsley-based school recently hosted a coffee morning and fun to raise money for children in Ukraine.
Children and parents from Nash Mills C of E Primary School, donated homemade cakes to the school that a select group of Year 6 children then sold for a contribution during a coffee morning.
The children had to overcome 13 different stages of the course including going over and under equipment, balancing on beams, shooting at a target, and dodging a group of Year 6 pupils armed with water guns.
The fundraiser event turned out a great success and raised a total of £470.15 that will be sent to charities supporting those in Ukraine.
Headteacher, Allan Maher said: “We invited parents and carers of the children at the school and had a great turn out. This gave the adults a good opportunity to meet with friends, parents, and grandparents to have a chat. It also gave toddlers a chance to play and meet new friends!”
