Croxley Green Parish Council (CGPC) has announced its second chosen charity of the year.
The council posted on social media: “We’re thrilled to announce that CGPC has selected Herts Musical Memories as our second chosen charity of the year! Founded in April 2017 by the incredible Kerry Brabant, this organisation holds a special place in our hearts for the amazing work they do.”
Herts Musical Memories helps to support people living with dementia and their carers through the art of singing. CGPC will be donating funds raised throughout the year to the charity.
CGPC continued: “Herts Musical Memories was born out of a crucial need to continue the invaluable Singing for the Brain service originally provided by the Alzheimer’s Society.
“It provides an incredible ability for individuals with dementia to connect and express themselves through music, which makes Herts Musical Memories’ singing sessions invaluable.”
A spokesperson for Herts Musical Memories said: “Thank you so much, folks! We really appreciate your support so our little charity can continue its happy work.”
