Police have confirmed that the man aged in his 30s who was taken to hospital following an altercation began inside the Vu Lounge, which ended up outside the venue prior to the stabbing, has sadly passed away.
His family are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time.
Dequarn Williams, 25, of Sancroft Close in North-West London, remains in custody charged with murder and is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, December 5.
A woman, aged in her 30s, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, remains released on bail while the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this tragic time.
“I know this incident will have caused significant concern among the local community. Our investigation is moving at pace and a man has been charged with murder and remanded into custody. We believe this is an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.
