All creatures great and small are welcome to book their reservations at none other than the Bug hotel at Christ Church and St John’s church in Radlett.
Working as part of the A Rocha UK Eco Church project, the youth group from the church is committed to designing the hotel as a means to care for all animals, ensuring they can be enjoyed by future generations.
A discussion began among church members about the various ways the community could start nurturing biodiversity.
Nicole Marrett, who runs the Youth Group, was instrumental in the foundation of encouraging the youth with the idea of a bug hotel emerging last month.
Members of the Youth Group spent a few weeks gathering items, including wood, rocks, and other bits and bobs for their grand design.
Speaking to RADLETTnews, Vicar of Christ Church and St John’s in Radlett, Ollie Blease said: “There was much hilarity about whether we needed a bug jacuzzi on the roof for the penthouse, and how much we should be charging for a night’s stay! The kids seemed to really enjoy it, and the grown-ups did too.”
The Youth Group is open to all young people across Radlett, from the ages of 10 to 18. For more information email, radlettchurchoffice@gmail.com
