Two more patients at Watford General Hospital that were diagnosed with coronavirus have died, the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust have announced.
Both patients, one being a woman in her 80s and the other a man in his 70s, had underlying health conditions.
A statement on the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust’s website read: “Sadly, we can confirm that two patients who were being cared for at Watford General Hospital, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
“The patients, who died on Sunday, March 22, were a woman in her 80s and a man in his 70s, both of whom had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
This news comes after a second coronavirus related death at the hospital happened on Saturday, March 20.
That patient, who was in her 70s, also had underlying health conditions.
