Pupils from a school in Northwood have shown their thanks to key workers by writing their own letters of support.
Reception pupils at St Helen’s School have combined their work studying superheroes in English to write their own letters of gratitude for the NHS staff and keyworkers who are helping to keep us all safe.
With the help of Ms Barton, these letters were then taken to Harefield and Watford General Hospital and shown to the doctors and nurses who were extremely grateful for the support and loved the letters so much that they are now displayed in the hospital staff room.
The pupils didn’t stop there however as they created posters which were placed in local shop windows to encourage donations such as cakes and snacks to boost morale.
The Community Angels who are helping supply donations to local hospitals thanked the pupils and Ms Barton.
They said: “It’s so wonderful how even in these very challenging times, members of the community pull together and the youth of today are willing and able to participate.”
