Moor Park pro golfers Callum Shinkwin and Matt Wallace finished alongside one other on 11-under-par in joint 19th place at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters last month.
The pair both shot closing rounds of 70 – two under par – to each secure their best respective finishes of the European Tour season to date.
Bushey golfer Shinkwin picked up his 10th top-20 result on the tour with his highest finish since last November when he finished joint 16th in the Turkish Airlines Open.
The 24-year-old started his final 18 holes positively with a birdie at the par five first and par four fourth before dropping back to 10-under with a bogey at hole five.
The remaining 13 holes saw a flurry of pars, with the exception of a birdie on hole 10, which he birdied for the fourth successive round.
The result was Wallace’s highest finish since the Andalucia Valderrama Masters, in which he finished joint 18th for a seventh top-20 result on the European Tour.
The 27-year-old made a double bogey five at the third to drop back to nine-under, but the Doha Golf Club back nine proved prudent for the Pinner-based player and on the final day he recreated his form.
Birdies on holes 10, 13, 16 and 18 took his four-round total for the second nine holes to 13-under-par for the tournament.
Eddie Pepperell held off the challenge of fellow Englishman Oliver Fisher to claim his maiden European Tour title by one shot on 18-under par.
