A Croxley taekwondo club delivered a knockout performance at the London Open 2025, battling nearly 300 athletes to claim 17 medals.
Rusty Taekwondo came up tops once again in the competition, which featured 25 teams and 275 athletes.
Each of the competing students gave 100 per cent commitment and their efforts paid off, with the team coming home with eight gold, six silver, and two bronze medals.
Strong individuals make an incredible team, as the club also received the team second place trophy.
Catching up with Croxley News, owner and coach at Rusty Taekwondo Russell Lesser said: “I’m so pleased with them all and even more so to all the parents who came and helped myself and Alex throughout the day. It’s not easy with 18 children competing, running back and forth from ring to ring. I’m so grateful to all those who jumped in to support us. The students showed so much respect to one to another and their behaviour was outstanding.
“I am one happy coach, who has helped his students gain their taekwondo confidence within our little Croxley community.”
