A Bushey resident is set to take on the London Marathon this spring in aid of The Salvation Army.
David Baum, otherwise known as The Man in A Tutu, has previously taken on running challenges in aid of his charity, Move for Wellness.
Now David has chosen to join his friend’s group Team Sally to take on the 26.2-mile race on April 23 in aid of The Salvation Army.
Speaking to BUSHEYNEWS, David said he had just began training for the event and needs to raise £2,000 to take part.
He said: “It’s one of those bucket list things; if you’re a runner, you want to do a marathon.
“I know about the work of The Salvation Army, but my friend told me one thing I didn’t know; they are fighting against modern slavery.
“It’s abhorrent that in the 21st century anyone should be forced into slavery.”
