A beauty therapist from Radlett is running her first ever marathon this month in memory of her close friend who died of bowel cancer. Jane Bennett, 49, will take on the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 26 in aid of the charity Beating Bowel Cancer. She said: “The marathon will be two days before the anniversary of his death. With it being such a poignant time I want to raise money to fight this terrible disease. It would also be a tribute to a wonderful man, husband and father.” Jane will also be celebrating her 50th birthday just days before the annual event. To donate to the charity, please visit Jane’s JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/Jane-Bennett11/ For more on this story, please read the next edition of My Radlett & Shenley News, out on April 24.
