Rickmansworth School is feeling the appreciation after finding out they’re the most ‘thanked’ school in the East of England.
The Thank a Teacher campaign, led by The Teaching Awards Trust, calls on children, their families and the wider community to show their support for their favourite staff members who help or have helped them in the turbulent times of education.
The charity revealed that, according to their online heatmap, the school has received more thank you messages than any other in the East of England, based on the number of cards sent through their website.
Matt Fletcher, Headteacher at Rickmansworth School said: “We are really fortunate to have such dedicated and experienced staff here at Rickmansworth School.
“After recently being shortlisted for two national TES Awards this year showcasing our commitment for staff wellbeing and the community, it was lovely to hear how much our parents and students value the staff by recognising their efforts through the Thank a Teacher campaign.”
Mary Palmer, CEO of The Teaching Awards Trust, said: “Congratulations to everyone at Rickmansworth School for being named the most thanked school in East of England, and for the incredible work they are clearly doing for their community.
“It’s wonderful to see so much support for our tremendous school staff across the country. They deserve every thank you they receive and so much more, and I’d encourage everyone to join us in celebrating how special our schools really are on Thursday 26 May.”
