Man given suspended jail sentence for having indecent images on phone

Published on: 31st January 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A young Watford man who was found to have a number of indecent images on his phone was given a suspended jail sentence yesterday.

Dawid Cullis, 23, of The Harebreaks in Watford had been arrested in August 2016 by police on an entirely unrelated matter.

But as a result, his mobile phone was seized and examined and on it police found a number of indecent images and movie clips.

On January 29, Cullus appeared for sentence at St Albans Crown Court where he admitted distributing indecent photos of children and three offences of making indecent photos of children.

The court was told Cullus had no previous convictions.

He was given a 21-month jail sentence which was suspended for two years.

He was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for five years and his name will go on the sex offences register for the next 10 years.
