Summer is about to get a whole lot more fun, as Hertsmere Borough Council announces that the first phase of improvements to Bushey’s flagship park has been completed.
The splash park at King George Recreation Ground reopened to the public on Saturday, May 31.
As part of the plans, the splash park’s pump house was replaced, with the flooring and equipment completely refurbished.
Councillor Chris Myers, portfolio holder for street scene, parks, leisure and culture, commented: “I am delighted we have been able to open the splash park in time for summer for our younger visitors to enjoy.”
Improvements to the wider park continue, with the cafe being rebuilt, the ball court area expanded, and the play equipment to be given an update.
New outdoor fitness equipment and resurfacing key paths are also some of the changes residents will be able to enjoy in coming months.
