The 2025 Club Championships have got off to an exciting start, with Watford Swimming Club’s Masters team delivering a series of competitive performances across a variety of events.
The opening weekend on October 18 and 19 saw a mix of experience and versatility on display, featuring the Watford Masters swimmers showing off their skills.
Among the Watford Masters making an impact was 60-year-old Paul Cutherbert, who delivered strong performances in both medley events, and Honor Davies, 23, who impressed in backstroke and individual races.
Paul Meyler, 47, showed strength in the freestyle events, while 24-year-old Eden Lashley brought speed and energy across sprint distances.
Morgan Hard, 28, also had a standout meet, competing in multiple events and demonstrating remarkable versatility across strokes and distances.
Each swimmer contributed to a weekend of competitive spirit and helped to set a strong tone for the rest of the championships, which continue until Wednesday, November 19.
Anticipation slowly builds as the Watford Masters have set a high standard, and the enthusiasm from the team promises more nail-biting performances.
