Residents are being tasked to make a scarecrow for Abbots Langley Autumn Fest 2019.
It’s time to dig out some old, tatty clothes and fill them with hay, straw, old clothes, newspaper, anything. It doesn’t matter how big, small, fat or slim, let your imagination go wild and have lots of fun.
Once you have finished your creation, contact the Abbots Autumn Fest team by e-mail abbotsautumnfest@gmail.com, and they will deliver an Abbots Autumn Fest apple logo to adorn your Scarecrow.
Participation means you are happy for photos to be taken and your Scarecrow to appear on social media.
If you don’t have space to show your scarecrow in your garden let the team know and they will find a home somewhere in the village for it.
The annual treasure hunt will commence from Monday, September 2 till Monday, September 16 and will be open to children up to Year 6, with four age groups.
Entry forms can be collected from Over the Moon or the Library. Find apples hidden and their questions in the high street businesses, answer them and return your completed forms.
The winners from the four age groups will be picked from the entries at the Abbots Autumn Fest which commences from 11am till 4pm at School Mead on Saturday, September 21.
