Michael Sobell Hospice in Northwood is over the moon to have received a share of £15million of funding raised by the Hospice Lotter Partnership.
Since 1997 the Hospice Lottery Partnership has distributed over £15milion to its partner charities which includes Michael Sobell Hospice.
This is thanks to the weekly lottery and biannual Superdraws which has led David Griffiths, CEO of The Hospice Lottery Partnership to thank those who have taken part.
He said: “We could not have achieved this milestone without our loyal long-term players, whose ongoing support helps to ensure that our partner charities are able to continue providing their specialist care and services to thousands of patients and their families.
“The last year has been particularly challenging and we have been touched by the generosity and compassion that our players have shown in response, which makes this announcement feel even more significant. On behalf of everyone here at The Hospice Lottery Partnership, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to every player for helping to make a difference to so many people at an incredibly difficult time in their lives.”
Michael Sobell Hospice matron Carol Weston shared a big thank you on behalf of the team to those who take part and help support the hospice.
She said: “On behalf of the Clinical Team at Michael Sobell Hospice we wanted to say a big thank you to our friends at the hospice lotter fund and to everyone who plays the weekly lottery. With the money you help to raise each year by buying your lottery tickets. You truly are making a real difference to the care we provide at the hospice.
