The Abbots Langley Tough Ten team is encouraging locals to get involved with the races this year.
The popular annual event on Sunday, October 5, includes a parkrun, 3k, 5k and 10k races.
The group has highlighted that running or jogging is a good way to safely exercise your heart, increase bone and muscle strength, and reduce stress.
Fiona Packman, chair of the organising committee, said: “One of the best ways to maintain motivation is to join a local running club, and in this area, we are spoilt for choice.
“If you are not a ‘joiner’, there is plenty of support online to achieve your goal, including Couch to 5k, which is a good starting point for beginners or those just coming back to running.”
