Pendley Manor in Tring was transformed into a catwalk for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care’s autumn/winter preloved fashion show.

On Wednesday, November 6, staff, volunteers and supporters showcased 40 outfits sourced from Rennie Grove Peace Hospice charity shops and the eBay store, curated by St Albans-based personal stylist, Alex Standley of Luxe Leopard Lifestyle.

Hemel Hempstead resident and Compassionate Neighbour volunteer Mandy was one of the models at the event, which raised a huge £3,000 for the charity.

Speaking after the event, Alex said: “I love changing perceptions on what it means to shop second-hand, and in particular, from charity shops. It’s an important part of my mission to bring the fun back into style, as creating more conscious consumption habits can feel heavy and overwhelming.

“This event enabled us to showcase to the audience not only the fact that you can find relevant, trend-led pieces in your local charity shop, but also how much fun you can have putting together preloved looks.”
