A Croxley teen is looking forward to getting back into the ring after the easing of COVID-19 restrictions brings hope.
Ellie Harber, who lives in the village, has won seven world champion titles over the years and like many athletes was hit hard by coronavirus but has started looking forward to fights this summer.
Speaking to CroxleyNews, she said she has been missing competitions and has some fights coming up.
She said: “I should be having a few fights coming up, there is nothing completely confirmed but we have ideas of some dates. I’ve definitely been missing it a lot.”
Ellie added that despite changes in her training routine she is busier than ever training six days a week as well as keeping up with schoolwork.
She said: “I’ve been training six days a week with my dad and my mum, as well as training myself. I’m just trying to do what I can.
“I’m actually quite busy even though I didn’t think I would be. I have been doing outside one to one training sessions a couple of week but hopefully soon I can get back into the gym with my coach.”
