A local gym have set their sights on developing future Olympians are launching an award scheme to give aspiring athlete the opportunity to make their dreams come true. The Gym Watford, which was named ‘Gym Chain of the Year 2017’ last month, is supporting talented athletes in Hertfordshire to identify the next Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls by providing free annual membership to seven deserving winners. Whatever your sport, The Gym Watford will provide the foundation for a successful training programme through its facilities, expert team and flexible opening hours. The team’s vision is to provide affordable access to exercise facilities and expert help to every person who wants to improve their wellbeing, whatever their starting point or destination. Jim Graham, The Gym Group’s chief operating officer, said: “With 82 gyms across the UK, The Gym wants to celebrate the fact that we have so many aspiring athletes using our facilities. “By providing around-the-clock access and affordable membership, we can offer support to members who are following their sporting dream.
