LITTLE GREEN LANE: Infamous junction in Croxley once again damaged by lorries

Published on: 30th January 2024   |   By: Amy Pollard   |   Category: Uncategorized

Residents were surprised to find that damage at Little Green Lane in Croxley was reportedly caused by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC).

On January 9, residents took to social media to share photographs showing cracked tarmac and uprooted grass at the junction between The Green and Little Green Lane, around half a kilometre south of the Killingdown Farm development.

Many thought that those responsible were linked to Killingdown site, where developers The Hill Group are building 160 new homes.

However, councillor Narinder Sian was allegedly told by both Hill and HCC officials that the damage “was caused by contractors for HCC who are carrying investigative work on the field where the new Breakspeare School is proposed”.

Cllr Sian said: “Temporary repairs have been made and the whole junction will be repaired under an agreement with Hertfordshire Highways.”

HCC and The Hill Group have been contacted for comment.
