Kings Langley FC have been praised on TalkSport’s Drive show after presenter Adrian Durham visited recently to watch one of their league games.
It comes after government ministers have been put under pressure to let fans into stadiums in a socially-distanced way, with almost 200,000 signatures on a government petition, at the time of writing.
Speaking on the show on October 12, Adrian Durham said: “I was one of 483 fans at Kings Langley vs Lowestoft, which is a level of non-league where you are allowed fans. It was a really good set-up, very nice beer, and I felt very COVID safe for the whole thing and had no problem with it at all.
“It totally reinforced my belief that the government should let fans into grounds.”
After this, Kings Langley FC posted on Twitter thanking Mr Durham for the feedback.
Their tweet read: “Thank you, it’s always great to get positive feedback.
“It’s not easy, especially as we are all volunteers, but we are proud of our setup and certainly this has been echoed by the growing support for our games.”
On the pitch, the Lango couldn’t repeat their FA Cup heroics of last season where they reached the Fourth Qualifying Round, after losing to Barking on penalties in the Second Qualifying Round.
Their league form has been a story of nearly moments as well, with the side struggling to find the form they were showing at the end of the last campaign.
