A Landlords Forum held by Hertsmere Borough Council has proved a success with 40 people attending to learn about changes to the law and how they will affect landlords.
Speakers at the council’s Civic Offices on Tuesday, June 26 discussed changes to rules on homes in multiple occupation (HMO), the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).
Councillor Jean Heywood, portfolio holder for housing, said: “It is great that so many people attended the Forum, which aimed to help landlords ensure that their homes comply with the latest regulations.
“This will benefit both landlords and tenants by providing safe and secure homes for them to live in and making landlords aware of the services and support that is available to them and their responsibilities under the legislation.”
The next Forum will be held at the end of November.
