Residents in Three Rivers are being urged this weekend to keep following government advice on social distancing to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Councillor Sarah Nelmes, Leader of Three Rivers District Council, said: “These restrictions are in place for the safety and wellbeing of the public, so it is important that we all follow them to not only protect each other, but the NHS too.
“Thank you to the vast majority of people who are following the rules and doing their bit to prevent the spread of the virus. But I remain concerned that cases continue to steadily rise and that some people continue to ignore the rules.
“Remember, by following the rules now and keeping the transmission rate low, we can limit further local restrictions once we come out of national lockdown.”
Parks, green spaces and play areas remain open in Three Rivers and this weekend extra parks staff will be working to keep everyone safe.
Other leisure facilities including leisure centres, outdoor gyms and skate parks are currently closed. For a full list of what’s closed visit threeriversleisure.co.uk/Coronavirus
