Published on: 20th February 2020   |   By: Dean Shaw   |   Category: Uncategorized

Book lovers are being encouraged to attend a special evening with a top author at Chorleywood library.

Author, Kate Elizabeth Russell, is set to release her book My Dark Vanessa which has received rave reviews and been described as: “A hard story to read and a harder one to put down”.

She will visit Chorleywood on March 31, which is also the date the book is released, to discuss everything and anything to do with the book.

The storyline follows a woman who is asked to redefine a relationship she previously had with her teacher which she viewed as love.

The event at the library is being organised by Chorleywood Bookshop with the evening starting at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £8 and includes entry, a drink and a cake.

Chorleywood Bookshop said: “We urge you all to come and meet the author of the book that everyone is going to be reading this Spring.

“We are also excited to announce that the books editor of The Bookseller, Alice O’Keefe, is coming to interview Kate as she is one of the early super fans of the book.

“We’re so sure that this is going to be popular with book clubs that we’ve got a special offer for you: book a ticket for our event and the first two people to email the shop will each get an advance copy of My Dark Vanessa to get their teeth into.  Just let us know which book club you belong to when you email in.

“Of course, you don’t have to be in a book club to come. Everyone is always welcome, but we think you might need someone to talk to once you’ve read the book so bring a friend.”
