Watford Mencap has announced the return of its much-anticipated annual Santa Dash, a festive run set to take place at Cassiobury Park on Sunday, December 3.
Participants are encouraged to adorn themselves in Christmas-themed costumes and take part in either the 1km or 5km races. All proceeds from the event will directly support Watford Mencap’s vital programmes and services dedicated to empowering people with learning disabilities.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “The Santa Dash isn’t just an exhilarating way to celebrate the festive season; it’s also a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.
“Whether you’re an avid runner or simply looking for a fun way to give back to your community, the Santa Dash warmly welcomes participants of all abilities. Dress up in your most spirited Santa gear and share in the joy of creating lasting memories.”
Runners are encouraged to set a fundraising target of £50 each for the event.
