Three members of a county lines gang operating between Luton and Hemel Hempstead were jailed yesterday (Monday, June 10).
Timothy Alexander, 32, of Brendon Avenue, Luton, was sentenced to six years and nine months’ imprisonment. Dean Bruton, 22, of no fixed address, was sentenced to four years and 10 months. Ryan Sherry, 20, of Tenby Drive, Luton, was sentenced to two years and seven months.
Brandon Daly, 25, of Caddington, Luton, was not brought to court from Wormwood Scrubs Prison for sentence because of an administrative error. He will be sentenced at a later date.
St Albans Crown Court heard that the four were operating the Capo drug line between September 2020 and June 2021. Bulk messages sent from the phone offered crack and heroin for sale.
A home in Lonsdale, Hemel Hempstead, had been cuckooed by the gang – where a vulnerable person’s property is taken over as a base to establish drug dealing.
All defendants admitted supplying cocaine and heroin. Alexander and Bruton were said to have played a significant role, with Sherry being less influential. Sherry had also admitted supplying cannabis.
Alexander also admitted conspiracy to supply heroin and crack between March 22, 2022, and May 5, 2022.
Judge Lana Wood said £1,115 cash found on Alexander and £2,845 on Bruton should be forfeited and handed to the Hertfordshire Community Foundation.
