Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust has announced plans to host the third edition of a walk to commemorate late former manager Graham Taylor OBE.
The trust has teamed up with Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care for the upcoming Taylor Trek on Sunday, October 13.
According to the trust’s website, the event promises an “inspiring” journey through the key sites of Graham’s Hornets history.
With three different routes available of 3.5 miles, 8.3 miles and 18 miles, the 2024 edition of the trek will raise money for the trust and Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
Graham was an iconic manager in Watford FC’s history, guiding them from the fourth tier to the top flight of English football in five seasons between 1977 and 1987.
The former England boss returned to Watford in 1996 and guided them to the Premier League, before retiring in 2001. He passed away in 2017.
