A Radlett dance school has raised more than £250,000 from their annual shows over the last 22 years.
Through this year’s performances, which took place at The Radlett Centre on March 18, 19 and 20, Vanessa Class School of Dance raised £8,258 for Fight for Life, a children’s cancer charity.
Celebrity dancers Curtis and AJ Pritchard were in attendance and got up on stage to host the raffle and hand out an award.
Each show had a total of 40 dances in a variety of styles, including street, hip hop, commercial and lyrical, as well as a couple of singing numbers.
Some of the parents of the dancers were part of VC Mums, who spent the last six months learning a dance routine for the show to help raise money.
Principal and head of school Vanessa Class said: “It was absolutely amazing. I can’t begin to describe the positive messages I’ve had from parents; they say the show gets better every year. We have very talented dancers and they all shone like stars.”
Shayna May, 15, a dancer at the school, said: “It feels really good to be raising lots of money for children in need. It is amazing that we are raising all the money whilst doing what we love.”
