A police pursuit which started in the early hours of the morning in Hemel Hempstead ended in Stanmore with four people arrested.
When police attempted to stop the vehicle, which had four occupants, it failed to stop and led police on a chase all the way to the town.
Once in Stanmore, the four occupants decided to flee from the vehicle and run off.
A great effort, including help from the Roads Policing Unit and the Dog Unit meant that all four occupants of the vehicle were arrested for a long list of offences including theft of motor vehicle and theft from motor vehicles.
A collection of number plates was recovered and a large selection of power tools. Enquiries are on-going at this time.
Dacorum Police advised residents to report any suspicious activity to police.
Police said: “Please ensure that you report any suspicious activity to police on 101 or 999 if you believe a crime is in progress. As the nights draw in and get darker, we ask residents to be vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to police.”
