IN BLOOM: Hatch End society’s Summer Show features ‘absolutely stunning’ flowers

Published on: 26th July 2025   |   By: Ellie Rose   |   Category: Uncategorized

Nothing says summer quite like a beautiful display of vibrant, homegrown flowers and that was exactly what was on offer at the Hatch End Horticultural Society Summer Show.

On Saturday, June 28, the Scout HQ on Grimsdyke Road was transformed with a beautiful variety of flower displays and bouquets for the popular annual event.

The free show offered residents the opportunity to smell the roses while tucking into tea and homemade cakes. Some of the stunning plants were for sale so visitors had the opportunity to get their hands on flowers grown locally in the village.

Those taking part could present a variety of flowers, from roses to delphiniums, and pansies to dahlias.

Fruit and vegetables were also brought to the table, including lettuce, onions and carrots.

Hatch End councillor Matthew Goodwin-Freeman went along to the event and shared: “There were absolutely stunning displays and it was great to say a few words and thank the team, committee and members.”
