Three people have been arrested during an operation targeting an organised crime group operating in Hertfordshire.
Hertfordshire Constabulary’s specialist organised crime team Operation Relentless carried out five search warrants in Watford and North London on Tuesday, December 10, as part of an investigation into suspected conspiracy to import firearms into the UK. Supported by the Operational Support Group, Watford Scorpion unit and the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, the team arrested three people on suspicion of conspiracy to import firearms. More than 2.5kg of cocaine was also seized during the operation.
Those arrested were a 40-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman, both from Watford, who were bailed whilst the investigation continues.
Trahearne Edwards, 29, from Harrow, was also arrested and later charged with possession with intend to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and remanded.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Operation Relentless team, said: “Our dedicated organised gangs team, Operation Relentless, is constantly monitoring and gathering intelligence on those involved in drugs and violent crime.
