The election of Parish Councillors for the Abbots Langley and Bedmond ward has been postponed following the death of a candidate. John Sedlacek passed away and the Election has been countermanded as a result. A poll will not take place on the original date and will be rearranged within 35 days of Thursday, May 7 2015. On May 7 the parish council elections for Abbots Langley and surrounding areas are: Abbots Langley West: Stephen Cox (Labour), Owen Walter Roe (Liberal Democrat), Mandy Shumake (Labour) and Alison Ruth Ward (Liberal Democrat). Hunton Bridge and Langleybury: Philip Lockett (Labour), Belinda Clare Phipps (Liberal Democrat) and Leslie Peter Proctor (Conservative). Leavesden: Sara Bedford (Liberal Democrat), Martin Brooks (Liberal Democrat), Liz Burns (Liberal Democrat), Adam Cadoo (Labour), Stephen Giles-Medhurst (Liberal Democrat), Colin Gray (Labour), Anne Joynes (Labour), Marie-Louise Nolan (Labour), Robin Powell (Liberal Democrat), Richard Shattock (Trade Unionist and Socialists against Cuts) and Hitesh Taylor (Conservative) Primrose Hill: Lyn Ferguson (Liberal Democrat), Alex Michaels (Liberal Democrat), Bruce Prochnik (Labour) and Maureen Sedlacek (Labour), The list of candidates standing in Abbots Langley for the Three Rivers District Council elections has been published. As well as the parliamentary election for the Watford constituency, where the winner will become the village’s next MP, 13 councillors will be elected to the district council. The elections will take place on May 7.
