Multiple properties in Northchurch, near Berkhamsted, have been affected by a fire on Thursday (August 6) with at least nine fire engines fleeing to the area.
A 100m cordon was put in place as a precaution and people were asked to please avoid the area.
Dacorum Borough Council released a statement saying: “We are aware of a fire that has affected a number of properties in Berkhamsted this afternoon.
“We have staff on the ground who are coordinating with blue-light and emergency services and are working with affected residents for temporary accommodation and support.”
A GoFundMe page was set up by Michael Lee for the families that have been affected by the fire and has already raise more than £3,000.
One donor commented, saying: “Can’t even begin to imagine. The whole community are here to help.”
