Justin Dealey, BBC Three Counties Radio presenter, had the surprise of his life when a famous singer joined in the ‘sing for a banger’ hotdog contest on Hemel Hempstead High Street.
Justin invites passers-by to sing a song for him, and if the performance impresses him enough, he then treats them to a hotdog.
Imagine his surprise when on Saturday, October 14, 1990s heartthrob Terry Coldwell from East 17 turned up outside The Marlowes Shopping Centre and gave an acapella rendition of the band’s 1994 hit song, Stay Another Day.
Despite his impressive performance, Terry was sadly disqualified from the contest for being “too authentic”.
Justin headed to social media after the meeting and said: “Hand on heart, that was not set up. It’s fantastic.”
