Goals in either half helped the Hornets maintain their promotion push as Watford ran out 2-0 winners over Millwall at The Den.
A first-half volley from Matej Vydra and a superbly worked second-half goal rounded off by Adlene Guedioura gave Slavisa Jokanovic’s men three more vital points in their bid to make the top flight. They remain third in the league as the teams around them also picked up maximum points from their fixtures on the weekend of April 11. Despite the victory, Jokanovic felt his side could have played better and thought the team still has room for improvement. He said: “I’m happy with the result and some of the performance. But we didn’t control some parts of the game like I think we can. “We should control more of the match but the result is the most important thing at this time. “I said before the game we have this space to improve still – and it’s good we still have this because I want us to be better, to be as good as we can be for the games in front of us.” For more player reaction, please read the next edition of My Bushey News, out on April 24.
