The Golden Boys were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham at the weekend (February 6). Kieran Trippier scored the goal for Spurs, claiming all three points at White Hart Lane in the Barclays Premier League. The Hornets had glimpses of goal, but never really threatened the Spurs back-four enough to warrant a point. Gomes, Speaking to Hornets PlayerHD after the final whistle, Heurelho Gomes, said: “Tottenham made it a very difficult day for us but we knew from the beginning that we were going to play against a tough opponent, and they showed today why they are second in the table. “They made it difficult for us, we did great to hold them for a long time and at the end we tried to score our goal, but it was too late.”
