Watford FC were drawn against fellow Premier League side, Newcastle United, in the FA Cup third round draw this evening. The Hornets were the first team out in this year’s iconic draw and they host Steve McClaren’s strugglers on the weekend of January 9. Both teams had impressive home wins this weekend with the Golden Boys beating Norwich 2-0 and Newcastle comfortably won their home tie against Jurgen Klopp’s rejuvenated Liverpool. Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores will be hoping his side can transfer their impressive league form to the magic of the FA Cup as the Spaniard gets his first taste of the historic domestic cup competition.
