Officers are appealing for information following a burglary in Watford.

It happened in Langley Road between 4pm and 4.30pm on Monday, February 25.

An offender gained entry to the property and taken money from several purses in the kitchen before searching upstairs.

He went into a rear bedroom and disturbed the victim, a man in his XXs, who was asleep on the bed. The offender did not threaten or harm the victim before running out of the house.

The offender is described as a white man of medium high, with light-coloured short hair. He was clean shaven and wore a blue woolly coat.

Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “I appreciate this incident happened a few weeks ago but we are keen to hear from anyone in the nearby area who has CCTV installed on their property.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who remembers seeing a person matching the description in the area around the time of the burglary.”

If you can help, please contact DC Vint on julie.vint@herts.pnn.police.uk, report information online at herts.police.uk/Report or speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via online web chat, quoting reference 41/18668/19.
