A Community Cup Golf tournament held last month has raised more than £4,000 for the Watford Community Fund.
On Monday, July 1, Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor was joined by former footballer Luther Blissett OBE DL and a group of golfers for the tournament at West Herts Golf Club.
Mayor Taylor said: “It was a really positive day, and I am grateful to everyone who took part.”
The Watford Community Fund supports a range of good causes helping to provide care for people in the local community, including Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, food banks, churches and homeless shelters.
The event was sponsored by leading resource management company Veolia UK and supported by Everyone Active, Watford & Three Rivers Trust, The Former Players Club and Watford Borough Council.
