It’s up, up and away for Kings Langley student Alex Manton, who has catapulted into a spectacular year of trampoline triumphs.
On December 5, 2024, Alex was one of only three boys in the country to be selected for the England squad in the 15 to 16 age group – placing him as one of the top seven trampolinists of his age in the country.
In April this year, Alex struck gold at the British National Qualification Event and took fourth in the individual category for his age range.
Summer saw more high-flying success, with another gold in the Junior Mixed Synchro at the English National Qualification Event and a team gold for England at the Scalabis Cup in Portugal.
While most of us like slowing down in the autumn, Alex jumped up a gear, earning a silver in the Individual at the National League Finals, and a personal best Loule Cup in Portugal.
Balancing 13 hours of training a week with GCSE exams, Alex has shown true dedication.
A spokesperson said: “Overall he has had a really good year. The fact that he was training and competing during his GCSEs is testament to his determination and strength of character.”
