Police arrested a man, who was hiding in woodland, on suspicion of a series of offences.
At around 6pm on Wednesday October 28, officers on patrol attempted to stop a vehicle in St Albans Road, Garston.
The vehicle made off and was followed by officers.
The driver then decamped and a search of the area was carried out, with assistance from the fire service.
A man was arrested in woodland off the A405 a short time later.
Jemin Cahani aged 25, from Wenlock Road, Edgware, was charged with failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving without due care and attention.
He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on October 30 where pleaded guilty to driving without a licence or insurance.
The offence of driving without due care and attention was withdrawn in favour of a charge of dangerous driving.
The offence of failing to stop withdrawn altogether.
He was released on conditional bail and is next due to appear at St Albans Crown Court for sentencing on November 27.
